Goldens are known for their beautiful coats, which can range in colour from light gold to rich cream. They’re also one of the most popular breeds for assistance dogs due to their gentle nature and willingness to please.

  1. Chesapeake Bay Retriever: Chesapeake Bay retrievers are large dogs that were originally bred for hunting waterfowl in the Chesapeake Bay area. They have a thick, oily coat that protects them from the cold water and harsh weather conditions. Chesapeake’s are strong swimmers and have webbed feet, making them ideal for retrieval work. They’re also known for being independent and headstrong, so training is important if you want a well-behaved dog.
